Roast Lab Coffee Roasters - Featured Roaster

Roast Lab Coffee Roasters is a very small family owned roasting company founded by Wayne and Sarah Coetzee.

While their company may be fairly new, the love and passion that goes into roasting their coffee can be seen through each batch of beans they roast.

They have a passion and knowledge for combining just the right cupping notes to make sure that all their customers have the best coffee experience ever.

How it All Began

Roast Lab got its name from their 'Novoroaster'. It is a magnificent German engineering roaster that embodies all their roasting principles: Methodical, Precision and Consistency; batch after batch.

They can roast a maximum of 2kg of speciality green coffee beans per batch. By doing smaller batches, they can guarantee consistent inner-bean development and better quality control.

The Ethics Behind Roast Lab

Roast Lab is passionate about doing this right. They source the best quality green beans. They also make sure to research all the best methodical roasting techniques.

Because of this, they are 100% committed to providing the best possible coffee tasting experience through their roasted coffees.

Roast profiles are developed for each 'origin' based on density, moisture content, and varietal characteristics. The roast profiles are programmed for repeatable batch roasting that is precise and consistent, batch after batch.

What You Will Find Inside

At Roast Lab, they work hard to test every batch of coffee that comes out of their facility. They test using the best equipments and if they are not satisfied with the outcome, you won't find it on their shelves.

You will find them selling their coffees at local events and coffee conferences across the UK. Of course, if you can't wait for that, you can always purchase their coffees online by clicking here.

Blue Coffee Box is featuring two of their iconic blends this month in our subscription box.

To learn more about Roast Lab, be sure and visit their website.

You can also follow along with them on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all the new blends they will be creating over the year.
