Blue Tea Box was filled once again with some amazing speciality teas that we had sourced from some great suppliers.

Below you will find all the teas offered during the month as well as each tea brewer.

Black Teas

Assam Mangalam - Second Flush

The Mangalam Tea Estate is one of India’s finest tea gardens. Founded in the early 70s it is very young compared to other famous Assam gardens. The way the tea plants were planted here is very unique. Using modern cultivating techniques enables the estate to produce a high yield of sublime quality tea.

Flavour Notes: This single estate Assam black tea is processed using the CTC method (Cut, Tear, Curl). The large leaves are broken and then granulated to provide a dark mahogany infusion with a rich, malty and exquisitely smooth flavour. Perfect with a drop of milk or sugar. The ideal breakfast tea!

Ceylon Kenilworth

The Kenilworth Tea Garden - named after the Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire, England - is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The estate is nestled between two of Sri Lanka’s longest and most essential rivers, ‘Mahaweli’ and ‘Kelani’.

Flavour Notes: The teas from Kenilworth impart a coppery bright liquor and lively and smooth flavours. A perfect alternative for a breakfast tea.

Keemun

Keemun is one of the most important teas in China. It is grown in the province of Anhui, in Central China. Despite its great popularity, it has only been produced since 1875. Before this time, only green teas had been produced in Anhui.

Flavour Notes: This Keemun OP is a soft, fine-aromatic and very mild tea, with a marvelous, regular Sinensis leaf. The cup colour is shining in a dark red, the bouquet is spicy and sweetish.

Taiwanese Ginseng Oolong

This exquisite loose leaf Taiwanese oolong tea is made from the very finest, lightly-oxidised tea leaves which have been infused with the deliciously revitalising oils of ginseng.

The wonderful combination of oolong tea and ginseng creates an exceptional infusion that is very enjoyable. To create ginseng oolong, the tea leaves are mixed with ground ginseng root.
