In 2012, Eddie Twichett had a dream of owning his very own coffee roasting company. At the time, he was a home brewer, sampling different notes of coffee right in the comfort of his own home. However, his job in hospitality in Bath kept him from doing what he really loved. Every break he got, he found himself continuing to brew and sample until one day his dream became a reality.

How it All Started

Starting out in a small industrial building no bigger than a garage Eddie, who is the founder of Round Hill Roastery, was roasting and selling at the Bath farmers market every week. Round Hill Roastery Quickly the business grew and Round Hill gained it's first wholesale partners. Round Hill has since moved to a larger roastery, but the personal touch is still there.

The Ethics Behind Round Hill Roastery

Round Hill Roastery has always strived to provide great customer service, delicious fair trade coffees, and they do that by working closely with the farmers they have built relationships with over the years, taking time to make visits to the farms to further their education and to also to source new coffees. Round Hill Roastery The coffee arrives as green beans - the farmer's finished product - and the team at Round Hill Roastery is careful to preserve and complement the hard work already put into each bean. Round Hill Roastery They work hard to source the best seasonal harvests, only selecting small lots from independent growers. They roast to highlight the dynamic flavours naturally found within their speciality coffees.

What You Will Find Inside at Round Hill Roastery

Each coffee blend is test roasted and allowed to rest before being brewed in several different ways. They do this to maximize the flavour profile. Round HIll Roastery Origin, variety, and process are all key factors in determining each coffee's individual roast profile with taste the central focus of everything that they do at Round Hill Roastery. They love to focus on each coffee's unique character and roast to highlight its dynamic flavours and sweetness. You may notice when you purchase their coffees that the bags come in two colours -- pink and blue. The pink bags are roasted for espresso brewing, and the blue bags are roasted for drip brewing. Round Hill Roastery Blue Coffee Box is featuring their URAGA SAMII #5, with hints of Turkish Delight, Apricot, Earl Grey, and Winey. We also have the Unit Fourteen, with a taste of Ripe Plum, Pecan Nuts, Cocoa Nibs, and Red wine.
