The Mundo Freitas coffee is one of those speciality coffees that once you've tried it, you never forget the taste and flavour. Located in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil, this large farm grows several different varietals (including the Mundo Novo) and produces both natural and pulped natural coffees.

Flavour Profile of Mundo Freitas

Preserving the natural resources in the production process of coffee at Freitas farm, conservation of soil, water resources and ecosystems is how Osmar Freitas Junior produces the high quality of the Mundo Freitas blend. Each bean is packed with hints of chocolate along with a nutty undertone. Farmers will hand harvest the cherries and dry them in a natural process, making sure to preserve as much flavour as possible so that each cub is a full embodiment of this blend.

Coffee Grown in Brazil

Fazenda Freitas has been producing coffee for the last 32 years under the control of Osmar and more recently his son Gabriel who's passion and dedication is shown in the quality of his coffee. Fazenda Freita's coffee stands out in most quality contests. Both father and son have a real respect for social-environmental legislation and policies that Brazil so strongly adopts. They do this by not hiring under 16 years old, applying zero tolerance to discrimination, equal pay for men and women, prevention of pollution, promotion professional training for their employees, compliance of health and safety standards.

Horsham Coffee Roasters

Horsham Coffee Roasters began their journey through a stall at the Horsham food market, in the heart of Sussex and, of course, it became their namesake. Bradley and Amelia, the brilliant minds behind Horsham Coffee Roasters first visited Rwanda in 2014 and over the last few years, they have developed some very close relationships. Every year they visit Bwishaza co-operative, a group of around 500 farmers who produce fantastic coffee for the company. Both Amelia and Bradley, as well as their team are committed to supporting these Rwandan coffee farmers with an open and transparent working relationship and ensuring that they are paid a fair price for their work and their products.
