How it All Started
Bailies Coffee Roasters built their coffee roasting business on direct trade visiting where the world's finest coffees are grown, and forging lasting links with the growers, their farming partners. They source around 90% of their coffees from the country of origin and more than 70% are sourced directly. By sourcing the harvest themselves, they ensure both the quality of coffee for their customers plus a fair price and ethical treatment for the producers.
Indeed, to further demonstrate their quality, one of the roasters, Stephen Houston, competed in coffee's World Brewers Cup. And to think, it all started with Russell Bailie selling coffee from the back of a van!The Ethics Behind Bailies Coffee Roasters
